I am Honest, compassionate, love animals and kids. I was in the army for 4 years then got my psychology degree. I became a counselor for at-risk youth and worked as a teacher for many years. I mostly worked double shifts during my life so I rarely had time for myself or a family. I chose that path to be able to retire early, so now I want to settle down and enjoy life. I am very empathetic, so I can feel the emotions of the people I care about, so I prefer to be with someone who tries to be positive.

My mom is Filipina, so I am a Fil-am, but I don't speak any Filipino languages. I am a fast learner though, so maybe you could teach me? I plan on going to see my mom in Cebu this year, but I'm also going to see if I might want to move out there...

I love nature and the outdoors. I would like to travel more, but it's not as fulfilling without a special someone to share it with. I hope to find a friend or best friend who we can turn into a real relationship, because I think that is the foundation of a good relationship... Physical attraction is important, but those things fade with time, so enjoying who you are with is important.
Life is too short to be with someone you don't like, wouldn't you agree?
